Nach 70 Jahren Knechtschaft endlich frei!

But our rescue team was not about to be intimidated. Gajraj had been worked tirelessly for decades, and was showing the physical and psychological effects of being chained up and isolated from the company of other elephants. We were determined to give him a far different, far better life at our sanctuary. And today, thanks to you,  he's enjoying 'round-the-clock care, healthy food, and open green spaces with his elephant friends.

Thanks to you, Gajraj is retired today. He is resting, recovering, and finally enjoying his life. Your donation will help ensure that Gajraj continues to get the best care in the best setting for his needs.

On behalf of Gajraj, and all of India's exploited and abused elephants, thank you!

Sincerely,

Wildlife SOS India
